We hold hands, knotted in a bundle, deeply entangled with each other. As we navigate through laughter and teamwork, we find ourselves profoundly connected. Trying to sort through this mess, perhaps of our own making, together.
[un]learning scripts’ second gathering focused on exploring embodied knowledge and the ways to learn through the senses, primarily touch and experiences in not knowing. Rita Sousa and Kiek Koorevaar of the Embodied Theory Assembly, introduced physical exercises to the group that opened new ways of relating to each other through touch, movement and play.
Continuing on questions and stories taken from the first gathering, group members delved into deeper conversation on ways of knowing, the scripts we’re fed, and the ways to unlearn them.
What then can be learned and gained from “not knowing”? How does it allow one to re-envision their relationship to research, artistic practice and lived experience?
